We are an out-of-network provider for all commercial PPO insurances including but are not limited to Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna and United Healthcare. We will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits. Each superbill has the appropriate diagnosis codes, procedural codes, and charges required for insurance submission. If you aren't sure of your out of network benefits, you may want to call your insurance carrier to find out if you have a deductible and how much they reimburse you once the deductible is met.
Dr. Carr is well known for helping people who are still dealing with pain and injury after they have already received treatment from a typical In-Network PT Clinic.
In a standard clinic you likely spend about 20 minutes with an actual Physical Therapist. And you spend a majority of your time racing through a list of exercises with an assistant. Or received treatment by machines including heat, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation. In this typical physical therapy environment... a dedicated, truly custom tailored, optimally focused physio healing process designed for each individual patient can be hindered. And complete recovery may not be achieved.
She will be there with you every step of your recovery, providing the hands-on healing methods each patient deserves while offering expert advice in regards to your plan of care, exercise program, and necessary activity modifications, all promoting the acceleration of your healing.
In the state of California, Physical Therapists have direct access. This means we are allowed to evaluate and treat a patient without a doctor's prescription. However, for continued treatment greater than 45 days or 12 visits, whichever comes first, a physical therapy referral from your MD, DPM, DO or ND is required. Also, dependent on your insurance carrier, some insurances also require a physical therapy prescription showing medical necessity to receive possible reimbursement.
