Emphasize a Return to Peak Performance
Simple specific rehabilitation exercises are taught to you by Dr. Carr. They will become part of your home exercise program to be practiced between physical therapy sessions.
The body renews itself and benefits from exercise promoting circulation, function, balance and improved posture. However, Dr. Carr Physical Integrative Therapy does not believe in the phrase "no pain, no gain"... forcing you to perform an activity your not yet ready for. Rest assured with Dr. Carr, helpful healing exercises will be integrated into your individualized program at the appropriate time. But not before your body is ready.
This more gentle, well timed, guided introduction to your personalized exercise program helps minimize unnecessary discomfort. The musculoskeletal system may be limited in flexibility, strength, endurance, balance or coordination. These areas will be addressed according to your needs. It is difficult to mimic exercises provided to you in a gym setting, this is why we believe it is especially important to create a home exercise program specific to the types of activities you do. Whether you have just come out of surgery or have had pain for several years. Our exercises focus on utilizing your own weight along with the use of compact therabands, balls, and small weights. Which allow for simple yet effective exercises to help you reach better levels of function.
We pride ourselves on Educating Our Patients
Whether it is due to time constraints or other factors, many people may not receive in-depth information about the inner workings of their injury and related pains by other healthcare providers.
